High School Library Media Center Renovation

The Amity High School Library Media Center is being transformed into a modern learning environment designed to better support today's students and tomorrow's opportunities. The renovation will create a more welcoming, flexible, and technology-rich space where students can read, research, collaborate, create, and learn throughout the school day.

The redesigned Library Media Center will feature a variety of learning spaces to meet different student needs, including quiet reading areas, collaborative workspaces, a dedicated library classroom, podcast and recording rooms, and flexible furniture that can be easily reconfigured for classes, independent study, or special events. The project also improves accessibility, student traffic flow, visibility throughout the space, lighting, acoustics, and access to technology and power.

This page will provide regular updates throughout construction, including project milestones, photographs, and information about how library services will continue while work is underway.

For more information about the project, please contact Steve Martoni, Director of Facilities.
