We subscribe to several print magazines, including Sports Illustrated and The New Yorker. We also subscribe to the New Haven Register, the Hartford Courant, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. These publications are available for in-library reading.
Note: All three town libraries subscribe to a number of online magazines, like The Economist, The Atlantic, Newsweek, and Mother Jones, through web or app access through Libby. To create an account, you will need your Woodbridge, Bethany, or Orange library card.

The Amity Regional High School Library Media Center provides a wide variety of print and digital resources, equipment, and services to support the curriculum and to serve the personal needs of students and staff. Available resources include fiction and nonfiction books, print publications, films, online specialized databases and research tools, and a growing ebook and audiobook collection through our public library partners.
All students are invited to visit the library during their study hall or with teacher permission for academic or personal information needs. They are welcome to read, write, study, or seek help from the librarians. The library is normally open from 7:10 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Acceptable Use Policy
Acceptable Use Policy
The Amity Regional School District requires that students agree to the Acceptable Use Policy for technology use. Technology access and resources in the library are subject to the same agreement. Computers in the library are to be used for information seeking for personal or school purposes, and not for entertainment (gaming, movies, TV, music videos).
Borrowing Books
Book Borrowing Policies
- Books may be borrowed for 20 school days and renewed if no one else has requested them.
- Students are allowed a 20-school day grace period after the 20-school day loan period.
- At the conclusion of the grace period, students will be charged a $5 overdue fee, which will be recorded in PowerSchool.
- Students who fail to return their borrowed books will be charged the full replacement cost.
- At any point, if a book is not returned and we need to purchase a replacement copy, students will be responsible for the replacement cost. The cost will not be refunded if the student later returns their book after the replacement has been purchased.
Borrowing Electronics
Electronics Borrowing Policies
- Electronics may be borrowed for duration of the school day only, and students are expected to return their borrowed items prior to leaving school for the day.
- Students who return items late will be assessed an overdue fine of $1 per day, up to a $5 maximum.
- Students are responsible for replacement costs of any item not returned.
