Dear Amity Community:

 It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce you to the new and improved Amity presence on the World Wide Web. This site is indeed a portal into the wonderful world of Amity Regional School District #5. For some time, our district-created web site has lagged behind the technological advances Amity has made in classrooms, in how we operate our finances and even how we monitor and take care of facilities issues. With the launch of this new web site our digital web presence is in line with our technology programs and devices throughout the District.

 You will find many features of the web site that are vast improvements over the old, stodgy site. For instance, the site is searchable. It is in line with our goals and our efforts to promote balance in all our programs, be they within the Academic, Artistic or Athletic arenas. Parents and students will find easy access to information about attendance, current grades, schedules and contact with teachers. We envision the new web site to be a primary tool of communication with all groups the District serves.

 I urge all members of the Amity community to visit virtual Amity and experience the wonders this outstanding school District has to offer.

 I want to acknowledge the efforts of Mr. Warren Gohsler who spearheaded the detailed work needed to accomplish this outstanding product. This project would not have been possible without his consistent and persistent efforts.
