Portraits

Portraiture comes in many varieties

1. Posed portraits are those who are not randomly taken. Rather they are set up in a studio like set-up with deliberate background and specific lighting The subject is usually recognizable as opposed to a silhuette where the person is shadowed and not identifiable.

2. Candid shots are taken without the subject's prior knowledge and are often not looking at the camera or even aware that it is near.

3. Self portraits are where the subject is taking the picture themselves and it is a one person job.Self portriats can also indirectly capture a person's personality without directly capturing the person themselves.

4. Group Portraits are images taken usually posed at Weddings, Bar-Mitzvah's, Graduations or other occassion where you are trying to record an event in time.
