Amity High School Graduation Requirements and Performance Assessments
In addition to traditional credit requirements, all Connecticut school districts must institute new performance graduation requirements as outlined in recent state legislation. Amity has decided to develop performance graduation requirements in the following areas: reading, writing, math problem solving, science inquiry, and technology. In the first four areas, students can meet the graduation requirements either through a high score on the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT) or through designated classroom assignments that will be evaluated by school-wide rubrics.
