Amity Middle School - Bethany Campus

On behalf of the entire staff at the Bethany Campus of Amity Middle School , I welcome you to our web site.

Amity Middle School represents the ideals of middle-level education. Our mission is "to provide a safe, healthy, and caring environment that maximizes the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the young adolescent." The school is centered around the developmental needs of young adolescents and is divided into four academic teams. As a result, students will form a strong affiliation with their teachers. The staff members in the middle school are highly professional and caring. They will provide a rich and exceptional middle-level experience both in and out of the classroom.

The middle level years are usually exciting and challenging ones for students. This year will be particularly challenging as we address the following school goals:

•  Implement year II of print and digital literacy across the curriculum with CMT improvement; integrating technology; and interdisciplinary units.

•  Expand intramural offerings.

•  Restore video production.

•  Effectively implement subject leader positions.

•  Investigate more knowledge/skill in world political geography.

•  Explore programs to improve student's acceptance.

•  Ensure high quality air quality and cleanliness.
