Letter to the Students:
In selecting courses for next year you should consider graduation requirements as well as
your future plans for higher education and/or job choice. Some courses are offered only in alternate years. They are noted in the text of this booklet. You may need to adjust your course choices to enable you to schedule these courses.
Graduation requirements are explained in the following section of this booklet. Keep in mind that you need at least l00 credits to graduate. Some of these credits must be taken in specific courses or areas. See the section on Graduation Requirements for details.
Course selections are influenced by your future plans. You may not know exactly where you are headed, but you can determine the general direction. Discuss such matters with your parents, guidance counselors, and teachers. Look at your past academic record, your test scores, and a variety of 2 and 4 year college catalogs. Visit the Career Center, job sites, and a college campus or two. All of these things will help you make good decisions about your course and level selections.
