New - Click here to see the web photo album DreamWeaver helped me create!
Graphics, used well, can add interest to your website.
By the way, clicking on Page Properties in the Properties panel at the bottom allows you to set a color or even an image as a background.
Graphics - I've included some sheets in the folder to help you undestand the concept. Needless, to say, learning how to manipulate graphics could be another whole workshop in itself. I did manipulate some graphics for this presentation. The original lineshield shown below is 1057x400 pixels which exceed the recommended 763 pixel width of the page. Included as is, it makes my viewer using a screen resolution of 1024x768 have to scroll to see the whole image. Imagine how far a viewer using a screen resolution of 800x600 pixels would have to scroll.
To fix this, I opened the image in PhotoShop and saved it under another file name so my original would not be touched. Then I went to image>size and making sure that "constrain proportions" and "resample image" were checked, I reduced the size down to what I felt was appropriate. See the resized image in the second row of this table.

You can get lots of free images - buttons, dividing lines, animated gifs, etc. just by searching on the internet. (I just downloaded a bunch of animated gifs from
http://www.gifanimations.com/index.jsp (Be patient, it takes a moment for the page to load.)
Remember, all images should be fixed prior to putting into your images folder. They must be in your images folder before you can use them in your webpage.
